We had a wonderful time with the River Valley Raptors today during our Story Time! We were able to see a Red-tailed hawk, a Barn owl, and an American Kestrel!

We had 59 participants come to this event! We want to thank the River Valley Raptors and all of our patrons who came to this event. Here are some great pictures of the raptors!

Thank you to all our local businesses who allowed our patrons and staff to “Chalk The Block!” The creations were beautiful and brought some more sunshine to the city’s summer. Check out some of the awesome designs we saw this year!

Our winner of the 2024 Summer Reading Program’s Chopped Challenge is Brandy J. with her Chicken and Chickpea Street Tacos! Congratulations Brandy!

Brandy’s winning meal along with her recipe are listed here if you would like to try this delicious recipe! She won a $25 gift card to K.J.’s Fresh Market, so she can keep coming up with wonderful new food creations.

Thank you to all who participated in our Chopped Challenge this summer! It was a lot of fun to see everyone’s creativity.

 

 

We had a wonderful time with Safari Bob during Story Time! He brought in a turtle, a tortoise, an opossum, a striped skunk, a coati, and even an alligator! Here are some great pictures from Safari Bob’s visit. We would like to thank everyone who attended as well as Safari Bob for his presentation!
